Graduation Ceremony 2019 Register Now!

The registration form for this year's Graduation Ceremony on November 9th is still active! You can register online until 08.10. We want to celebrate the successful completion of your studies with two ceremonies. First, diplomas will be handed out at 3 p.m. in H5 to honor the FWW graduates (participation is free, but registration is required). Second, an equally festive reception will be held at 6 p.m. in Town Hall (45 EUR per person). Further information: here ...

Migration study by Huang/Kvasnicka arouses great interest

News from the Lab: Even Small Contributions (to environmental protection) Make a Difference

Why do we go to the polls when the road to the polling station is sometimes long and troublesome? When alternative Sunday activities are enticing and a single vote may only have a minor impact on election results as a whole? Why reduce heating and cooling within your home when the reduction in CO2 production has no measurable impact on total global emissions and thus on the environment? Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg: Accredited

In February 2017, the well-known agency evalag, which is itself accredited and registered by the European Quality Assurance Register, was commissioned to carry out the assessment procedure for the accreditation of the OVGU quality assurance system. This was followed by two and a half years of intensive stocktaking and reporting, examination and process optimization, inspection, consultation, second inspection, and more, before approval was given in July 2019 and the hard-earned accreditation certificate was issued.  Now it is official: The system of internal quality assurance for studies and teaching established at the OVGU and in the individual faculties has passed all necessary tests and received a system accreditation valid until September 30, 2025. We would like to congratulate all those involved, above all Dr. Jessica Naundorf, Quality Assistant and Advisor of the Dean of Studies.
